Boys HS Team Registration Information

The Boys High School Indoor Lacrosse League will take place at the Carolina Sportsplex (Net Sports) on Davis Drive in Morrisville. The location is just minutes from Durham, Chapel Hill, North Raleigh, Cary and Apex. We will run both Varsity and JV leagues. Dates are TBD.

Boys  HS players have the option to sign up as a group/team rather than individually. The benefits to signing your HS team up as a group are as follows:

If you choose to register a team, a team representative (player, parent, or coach) will be responsible for the following:

BOYS Team Fee- $1,800

League schedules and rosters will be posted on nclax.com by the end of the week before play starts. If the schedule is not complete by that time, we will contact each team captain with your week one game time. Call us at 363-9367 if you have any questions that your team rep cannot answer.

Adult Team Rep required for Boys HS League - An adult representative must be present for each team at each game to check their roster, communicate any needs with league officials, curb any foul language or other inappropriate behavior, and possibly help with substitutions. We want this to remain a “players” league where the kids have a chance to just play, have fun, compete, and work on their skills.

Any team that allows players who are not registered for the league to play on their team will be suspended from the league on the first infraction and removed from the league on the second infraction. If a team is “short” on players for a game, the adult team rep should communicate with the NCLAX League Official present and arrange for extra players to join that team for that particular game. This is done to maintain fairness and safeguard all of our players’ playing time.

League Philosophy:  We are committed to the safety of our players. Indoor rules dictate that the games be called much “tighter” than regular outdoor games. Body checking is strictly prohibited and excessive stick swinging is not allowed. As coaches, we want all of the players playing defense with their FEET, not by swinging their sticks. This will develop good habits for the upcoming season and will maintain a safe atmosphere in our games. We also do not allow players to shoot (crank) into or through an opposing player. In addition to this, players may NOT wind up and crank on goalies when they are in close to the goal. Penalties and/or expulsion will be called for violators of these rules. Winter Indoor is about skill development, sharpening your game, being with your friends, meeting new ones, and having fun!
